I’m a couple days late on this one but moving has its consequences. Anyway if you haven’t grabbed this track already be sure to get on that a add this one to your library. This was the first joint in the series of Kanye West’s declared “G.O.O.D. Fridays” which seems to be taking off with a good start. To clear things up, “G.O.O.D. Fridays” is what Kanye has decided to implement apparently until around Christmas time which involves new music being given every Friday from members of the G.O.O.D. Music label, cool idea and awesome for all of us. Enjoy the track and look forward to another this Friday along with our Flashback.
No errors in the name of this post folks, this is not a mash but rather new material from UGK and Drake. This is track that is going to be on Pimp C’s posthumous album “The Naked Soul of Sweet Jones” as shown above. There is always debate over posthumous releases but after hearing a track like this it sounds like it should be some killer stuff. This one was produced by Boi-1da who has been doing his thing since being blown up thru Drake and it sounds sick. Be sure to check this out and look forward to the album set to drop October 5th.
I really shouldn’t have to say a whole lot for this to be an automatic download for most of you. The original “Power” blew up was/is huge but adding Hova with production from Swizzy, what else could you ask for? Jay-Z kills his verse to start of the song and then it jumps back to Yeezy for him to do his thing. At the end of the track it goes into something a little different thanks to Swizz production but it sounds pretty good and you get some solid lines from Kayne. Be sure to have this in your library along with the original.
Above we’ve got a video from Sammy Adams to close out the summer with for “Just Sayin”. He’s been doing his thing this summer with the hard copy of his album dropping which featured dope tracks like “Still I Rise” and his hit “Driving Me Crazy”. The word going around is that he is dropping a mixtape for the end of the summer which means in the very near future so look forward to more from Boston’s Boy.
I’m going to start off by saying that this song has been dominating my iPod for the last day. The sound going on in this track is straight filth, it’s got a strong backbone but not simple enough to let you soak up all the lyrics. Iyaz does a great job of serving up the hook and Rick and Richie both throw in their bit to complete the song. Don’t miss out on this one.
This is totally not up my alley but I can’t deny that it’s a decent song. Clearly this one goes out for the girls but also for all the dudes out there that don’t mind seeing their girls getting a little competitive. Enjoy ladies.
I’ve been shying away from most of Pitbull’s music lately but I gave this one a listen and was pleasantly surprised. The true hook in this song is the sampling of “We No Speak Americano” which has blown up and taken over clubs around the globe. While it’s tough to beat the original here Pitbull does a decent job of switching up the track for some variety. Be sure to grab the original below if you don’t already have it.
When I first heard this song I instantly thought 3OH!3. The video is really well done if you ask me and the song isn’t half bad either. I’m not sure how easy it is going to be for these guys to stand out when they sound so similar to 3OH!3 but I give them props on this track and hope to hear more quality stuff like this from them. If you’re liking what you hear check em out at on Facebook.
Jazmine Sullivan has been doing her thing as of late but on this one we’ve got Wale jumping on her track to throw down a sick verse. The original song was a smooth track that sounded great thanks to Jazmine’s great vocals but adding a spitta never hurts. Enjoy this musically pristine joint, nice move Wale.
Usually when I see someone trying to mash Queen into something else I find it turning into a mess, this time DJ Fergie Ferg (nothing to do with Fergie) shows us how it’s done. He does a good job of keeping the beat pretty simple and not over complicating it which allowed me to get into the heaviness of it. It’s a solid mash and something to blast, check it.
